Who we are
This website is run by Cantilever Bar Systems Ltd (“Cantilever”, “we”, “us”). We design, manufacture and install bars, and we are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.

What we collect
Enquiries. When you fill in our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number, venue or company, project type, target opening date, the details you give us about your project and how you heard about us.
Emails and calls. If you contact us directly, we keep the information you share so we can reply and follow up.
Website use. If you accept analytics cookies, we collect information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Our cookie policy explains this in more detail.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about your project.
To prepare designs, proposals and quotes you have asked for.
To deliver and support your project if you become a client, including installation and aftercare.
To understand how people find and use our website, so we can improve it.
Our lawful basis
We use your information because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, because it is needed to take steps you have asked for before entering a contract, or to perform a contract with you. We only use non-essential cookies with your consent, and we keep some records, such as accounts, because the law requires it.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information or pass it to anyone for their own marketing. We share it only where we need to:
Squarespace, which hosts this website and stores enquiry form submissions. Squarespace may process data outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards in place.
Our email and IT providers, who help us run our business.
Designers, contractors and partners working on your project, where they need it to deliver the work.
Professional advisers, such as our accountants, or authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not go ahead for up to two years, in case you come back to us. If you become a client, we keep project records for as long as we need them to deliver and support your bar, and we keep financial records for six years, as required by law.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask for it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, email hello@cantileverbars.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

We use reputable providers and limit access to your information to the people who need it to help you.
